Heron Tower on Bishopsgate – a girly stone’s throw from Liverpool Street Station – looks like every other faceless glass-panelled high-rise that lines the streets of the City. But now, tucked behind this corporate façade is something we non-bankers fear: a cavern of corruption – an area dedicated to ensuring no work is (or can ever be) done. They call it The Drift.
